Day 29- Sunday night tears.

Sunday nights are mostly about dreading Monday mornings. In honour of these last few golden hours of the weekend, here are a few tears:

Tears from laughing until you cry.

Obviously, I was not the only one who wondered about what differentiated tears of joy from tears of sadness. And this someone had the appropriate educational qualification to not just wonder, but figure out the answer. Of course, they also had the appropriate authorization required to get their hands on one very powerful microscope. Lucky them!

So our ‘wonderer’ aka Rose-Lynn Fisher examined different type of tears under a microscope and documented them in a project called ‘The topography of tears’. (gClick on the link to check out all the images.)

While the different type of tears themselves are endlessly facinating, I personally am quite touched that our body actually process our varied emotions and responds to them with personalised tears. It nice to see that it’s not just one size fits all.

Quite a tear-jerker eh?

The reluctant writer.
